Its time for an Interactive Poll!

One of the cable channels is doing a special on American Sports Comedies during the month of November. Every Tuesday night there is a different film: Space Jam, Bull Durham, etc. I've never even heard of two of them, and from the looks of the commericials, they were WAY before my time. I haven't watched any of these movies, because I don't like the choices.

So since its Tuesday night, I will put the question out to you: what is your all-time favorite sports film? (doesn't have to be a comedy)

Should I tell you mine now? or wait to see if someone else mentions it? Hmmmmm, how about if we break double digits on the comments, I'll tell you.

Hoosiers is great, as is Rudy, The Natural, but my favorite is Remember the Titans.

No one else is old enough to remember "Brian's Song". It's the story of Brian Piccolo and Gayle Sayers. Piccolo helps make Sayers one of the premier running backs in the NFL then contracts cancer. Big time tear jerker.

Okay, as promised,I will reveal my favorite movie, since you posted ten comments (even though those last two were little "cheat" posts just to make ten, ha ha)

My all-time favorite is Hoosiers. I had already picked it before I wrote the post and even rewatched my DVD copy before posting. I think my sister knows me too well. Also, I need to give a thumbs-up to Cool Runnings, which was a favorite of several of my roommates in Jerusalem years ago.

didn't see it, but Tin Cup? That's the only golf movie I know of with Kevin Costner in it. With Rene Russo, right? That's one of the ones they are showing on the cable channel!

I like that movie, because I like both Will Smith and Matt Damon, but most people think its kind of slow. Typical of Robert Redford's films, I suppose.
